For over 26 years, SAHAR TAKEAWAY has been serving authentic Afghan flavour to the people of Dandenong. Since 1999, locals have come through our doors for the comforting smell of charcoal-grilled kebabs, freshly baked Afghan bread, and food made with care, tradition, and pride.
My name is Ahmad, and for the past 13 years I’ve proudly continued that tradition here in Melbourne. What started as a simple passion for real Afghan food has become a place where families, workers, students, and locals gather for meals that remind them of home — or help them discover something new. At Sahar, we believe great food should taste honest. That’s why we still cook our kebabs over real charcoal.
